Hi there! I am Haley, the pattern design here at Seamwork… And welcome to the Campbell Jumpsuit class. In this sewalong class we’re going to make the Campbell jumpsuit together.
This flightsuit-style jumpsuit has a relaxed silhouette that can be cinched with an optional belt plus a tapered leg fit. I love a jumpsuit because it is an all-in-one outfit. When I put on Campbell, I feel put together and fabulous, even if it is just for daycare pick-up or a walk around the park.
The Campbell jumpsuit is chock full of techniques that will build your sewing skills. At first glance this intermediate level pattern might seem a little intimidating, but I promise it is a lot easier than it looks, especially with me there to guide you through all the trickier steps. I will break it all down so that even an adventurous beginner sewer can tackle this project with a little determination.
In this sew along class, we’ll help you select your fabric, gather supplies and helpful tools, and sew each step including tricky parts like:
- The notch collar
- The faced front placket
- The topstitched side seam pockets
The best thing about this class is you’re not in it alone! You can connect with other sewists in the Seamwork community and chat about choosing fabric, selecting a size, and sewing up your Campbell jumpsuit. if you encounter questions along the way, you can always pop on over to the community to get help and cheer your classmates along.
If you sign up for the class, you’ll also receive a few motivational emails to help you keep up with sewing your jumpsuit.
In the next lesson, we’ll cover fabric selection, and gather some helpful tools.
Are you ready? let’s jump in!
