Hi everyone, I’m Sienna, the content producer here at Seamwork. Welcome to the Knox sewalong class. Knox is a pinafore dress that’s great for layering. It’s full of fun details to sew, and the pattern is super beginner friendly. The side panels create fun dropped, squared armholes for a unique silhouette, and you’ll also find pocket set into those panels. No closures are needed to layer this pinafore over your favorite tee, button up shirt, or even a sweater.
In this class, you’ll learn how to apply single fold bias tape to the neckline, how to sew the clever pockets, and see each step of the instructions in action. You’ll also be able to chat with other Seamworkers about choosing fabric and getting a perfect fit in the Seamwork community.
In the next lesson, we’ll go over what fabrics and supplies to shop for. Let’s get started.
