This pattern is rated Intermediate, but adventurous beginners are welcome! We assume that you’re not an absolute beginner and you have some experience cutting out fabric, finishing seams, and using your machine and tools. Sew a Denim Jacket

Here’s what you’ll need for this project:


  • Audrey pattern

  • All purpose-polyester thread

  • Denim sewing machine needle

  • Topstitching thread

  • 1 yard of fusible interfacing

  • Twelve size 5/8” jeans buttons

  • Point turner

  • 1/2 yard of cotton muslin or other lining fabric

  • An awl, or something sharp to pierce your fabric with

  • A hammer

  • Medium to heavyweight denim or canvas

  • A small block of wood

  • A marking tool

  • Some fabric scraps
