Aims is the owner and curator of Indy Bindy Fabrics, an online store specializing in indie Japanese designer fabrics. Aims has recently moved from Tokyo, Japan to Canberra, Australia. Christi Johnson is a textile artist who combines cosmic visions expressed through embroidery with natural dyes, creating a hypnotic dance of symbols stitched slowly and methodically into botanically infused fibers. She works from the belief that through creating with textiles, our most intimate of personal belongings, we recognize our powers of transformation in all areas of life. Visit Christi at Mixed Color.
Emma Bonsall is a British-born Fashion Design Graduate and Mum of two living in Canada. When she’s not designing costumes or sewing for herself, she’s altering clothes for others. Yes, she WILL hem your jeans, TAKE your money, and turn it into more FABRIC. Emma loves to knit, crochet, embroider, refashion, and has had her work featured in the Huffington Post, craft magazines, and books at home and abroad. She is excited to be a Seamwork Ambassador and is stitching up her dream wardrobe with the help of Seamwork’s extensive pattern library.
As the Graphic Designer here at Seamwork HQ, Farrah helps us capture the magic of sewing through graphic design, creating our brand identity and making sure that each issue of Seamwork looks perfect.
Haley doesn’t just want to design clothing you’ll love to wear, but clothing you’ll love to sew. With a background in both design and teaching, she combines her talents to imagine patterns with thoughtful details that build your skills as you sew.
Julicia James is a creative spirit. She loves to sew, write, and watercolor. She began to sew so she could make clothes that fit her petite frame since most retail brands don’t carry petite lines. She signed up to take evening sewing classes after work at a design college, and the rest is history. She believes that art is a conversation with yourself, and creativity is healing. You can find her on Instagram at @theainsleylife and at her site https://www.theainsleylife.com.
