Writers

Angela Geosits

Angela Geosits is a teacher and a maker living in the Washington, DC area. Angela learned to sew from her mother as a child but didn’t start sewing clothes for herself until grad school. Writing papers made her wrists hurt too much to knit, so she faced her fear of cutting out fabric and made sewing her preferred creative outlet. When she’s not sewing or painting, Angela teaches College Writing at American University. You can find more of her makes on Instagram and read about her sewing adventures on her blog.

Farrah Dodson

As the Graphic Designer here at Seamwork HQ, Farrah helps us capture the magic of sewing through graphic design, creating our brand identity and making sure that each issue of Seamwork looks perfect.

Kati Sidwall

Kati Sidwall is an engineer and writer who sews her own clothes by twilight. She is fascinated by natural dyeing and printing using treasures from around her home on the Canadian prairies (Treaty 1 territory). She lives and plays on the Red River with her partner, dog, and small flock of chickens. Connect with Kati on Instagram at @hemsandhens.

Meg Stively

Meg is here to help you get excited about sewing. As the managing editor for Seamwork and the smiling face behind emails and social media, she loves seeing what you’re making with our patterns.
