What We’ve Learned From a Year of Pandemic Making

Episode 48: We explore how the pandemic has shaped our thoughts about making, and the lessons we've learned about the importance of craft in our lives.

Posted in: Seamwork Radio Podcast • July 20, 2021 • Episode 48

The last year and a half have been transformative for many of us. In this episode, we explore how the pandemic shaped our thoughts about making, and the lessons we've learned about the importance of craft in our lives.

This episode was inspired by an article by Steven Kurutz in the New York Times called What We've Learned From a Year of Crafting. Craft of all kinds has been grounding for people all over the world during turbulent times. We discuss the solace offered by a craft practice, the community that builds around it, and how craft has changed our relationships with time this year.
