Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

The Whimsical Pullover Blouse Sewing Pattern

The Meadow Blouse has the perfect blend of classic charm and modern flair. This pullover blouse features a dramatic ruffle collar that adds a touch of whimsy to your wardrobe. It’s designed with a straight fit and a high round neckline that frames the face and adds a sophisticated detail.

The sleeves give a bit more drama, gathered with a subtle puff at the hem and adorned with binding for a polished finish. A center-back seam with a keyhole closure makes this blouse easy to wear but high on the glamour, perfect for pairing with your favorite jeans or a sleek skirt.

Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, cotton gauze, voile, chambray, swiss dot, rayon challis, linen, rayon crepe, and silk. Sarah is wearing Striped Double Gauze. Morgan is wearing Sheer Ivory Check.

Sizing & Fit

Sarah is wearing a size 00 Meadow top. We graded to 2 at the shoulders, reduced the bust 1" and the bicep 1/2". Her measurements are, bust: 30 3/4" (78.1 cm), waist: 24 1/2" (62.25 cm), hip: 36" (91.5 cm), and she is 5' 3 1/2" (161.25 cm) tall.

Morgan is wearing a size 20 meadow blouse. Her measurements are bust: 48" (122 cm), waist: 41" (104 cm), hip: 52" (132 cm), and she is 5' 9" (175.25 cm) tall.

00 – 30

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
