Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. These patterns focus on the basics like sewing and finishing straight and curved seams, hemming, and simple shaping methods such as darts and gathers. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Description

Lined Hooded Scarf

Linnea is a hooded scarf that combines the cozy coverage of a hood with the ease of a classic scarf. Designed to keep you warm while adding a thoughtful finishing touch to your outfit, it’s a practical accessory with a little extra personality.

The three-piece hood creates a shaped fit that sits comfortably around the head, while long ties extend from the side of the hood that tie at the neck to secure it in place. Fully lined for a polished finish on both sides, Linnea is both elevated and easy to wear.

Style Linnea with your favorite coat for an extra layer on chilly days, or let it become the focal point of a simple outfit. Choose cozy wool or fleece for warmth, or experiment with contrasting lining fabrics, playful prints, and unexpected color combinations to make it uniquely your own.

Fabric & Supplies

Medium to heavyweight fabrics such as canvas, denim, twill, melton wool, cashmere, boucle, boiled wool, supplex, and cordura nylon.

Lightweight woven linings such as quilting cotton, cotton lawn, acetate, rayon, or silk.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, and all-purpose sewing machine needle. Optional: 1/8 yard (.1 meter) fusible interfacing
