Graham Tie

This lesson covers everything you need to sew up a fun accessory, the Graham tie. This pattern is rated Intermediate, but adventurous beginners are welcome! We assume that you’re not an absolute beginner and you have some experience cutting out fabric, finishing seams, and using your machine and tools. Here’s what you’ll need for this class:

The Graham pattern

Fabric:


  • Main: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, lawn, chambray, linen, linen blends, wool, wool blends, silk, and silk blends.

  • Lining: Lightweight woven fabric such as voile, silk, and silk blends.

Supplies and Notions:


  • All-purpose polyester sewing thread

  • Sewing machine needle

  • Hand sewing needle

  • 1 1/8 yards (1 meter) sew-in interfacing
