Contributors & Staff

Meet the writers, makers, and artists from this month’s issue.

Brittany Archibald

Brittany is an artist and quilter living in Washington State. She has a BFA in Studio Arts and thinks of her garment making as an extension of her creative practice. You can find her on Instagram @_brittarchibald.

Farrah Dodson

As the Graphic Designer here at Seamwork HQ, Farrah helps us capture the magic of sewing through graphic design, creating our brand identity and making sure that each issue of Seamwork looks perfect.

Haley Glenn

Haley doesn’t just want to design clothing you’ll love to wear, but clothing you’ll love to sew. With a background in both design and teaching, she combines her talents to imagine patterns with thoughtful details that build your skills as you sew.

Jess Lucas

Since the start of the pandemic, Jess has had more time to explore more into the history of fashion and design in the UK, and is loving every minute of it. Passionate about the stories around us and how craft connects us, she explores this in her podcast woven threads.

Julicia James

Julicia James is a creative spirit. She loves to sew, write, and watercolor. She began to sew so she could make clothes that fit her petite frame since most retail brands don’t carry petite lines. She signed up to take evening sewing classes after work at a design college, and the rest is history. She believes that art is a conversation with yourself, and creativity is healing. You can find her on Instagram and her website.

Maria Claudia Brigido

Maria Claudia Brigido writes, works with Transcreation, sews, and stitches in São Paulo, Brazil. You can find her work on her website and Instagram.

Meg Stively

Meg is here to help you get excited about sewing. As the managing editor for Seamwork and the smiling face behind emails and social media, she loves seeing what you’re making with our patterns.

Nicole Angeline

Like many, Nicole Angeline learned how to sew when masks were in high demand, but she is now an avid garment sewist. Learning how to sew her own clothes has provided a great creative outlet to balance her day job as a lawyer. You can also find her co-hosting the Asian Sewist Collective podcast, and on Instagram @nicoleangelinesews.

Niko Prytula

Niko Prytula is an artist, designer, and writer from Brooklyn, NY. They love making things, playing music, and walking inadvisably long distances. Their work can be seen at their website and on Instagram.
