Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. These patterns focus on the basics like sewing and finishing straight and curved seams, hemming, and simple shaping methods such as darts and gathers. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

This bonus variation is designed to be used alongside the original Moss pattern, which you’ll need to complete your garment.

The Moss bonus variation gives this versatile vest a more playful twist. Instead of the button or snap closure, this variation features two ties at the center front, adding a soft, feminine detail to the clean, boxy silhouette.

All of the original design details remain the same, including the high neckline, bound edges, lined patch pocket, and relaxed silhouette. The result is a fresh take on Moss that feels a little more casual and expressive while keeping all the versatility of the original.

Pair it with your favorite tee, button-up, or sweater, and experiment with contrasting fabrics and binding to make this playful version uniquely your own.

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
