Idra was born from the idea of adding a bit of drama to your everyday wardrobe. Inspired by vintage silhouettes and soft volume, we wanted a top that felt equally expressive and wearable.
The wrap shape offers versatility, the pleats and darts create shape, and the sleeves bring a romantic flair. It's the kind of piece that works layered or solo, with jeans or skirts—and is just as fun to sew as it is to wear.

The Idra Wrap Top is a timeless design made for light to medium weight woven fabrics. The V-neckline, lined front bodice, and radiating pleats create a beautifully shaped silhouette that flatters and feels elevated. Billowing sleeves with gathered caps and elastic hems add soft drama, while the wide waist ties allow you to cinch the wrap for your ideal fit. With bust darts, back waist darts, and bias tape finishing at the neckline, Idra offers thoughtful details that feel polished and skill-building.

Fabric and Fit

Fabric recommendations: Idra is designed for light to medium weight woven fabrics that hold pleats and gathers well without feeling stiff. Cotton lawn, voile, Swiss dot, and gauze are great options for a lightweight, airy look.
Shirtings and lightweight linen give a more structured finish with a vintage vibe, while rayon challis or crepe offer beautiful drape and movement.
For a romantic, dressy feel, consider silk charmeuse or crepe de chine—these add shine and fluidity, perfect for layering over dresses or pairing with high-waisted skirts.
If you want more volume in the sleeves, choose fabrics with a little body, like cotton poplin or seersucker. For summer versions, breathable fabrics like cotton gauze or linen blends will keep you cool and comfortable.
Whichever fabric you choose, keep in mind how it handles pleats and gathers. Fabrics with a soft hand will fall more gently and create a flowing look, while crisper fabrics will offer the sleeves and pleats a more defined look.
