Ione moodboard

The Ione Bodysuit was inspired by the desire for a polished, layer-friendly basic that feels as good as it looks. We wanted to create a piece that skims the body without restriction, works across seasons, and can be dressed up or down with ease. By blending thoughtful construction details with clean, modern lines, Ione brings a refined simplicity to your handmade wardrobe. An everyday essential elevated through great fit, comfort, and versatility.

The Ione Bodysuit is a sleek, long-sleeve layer designed for a smooth, sculpted fit. It’s body-hugging silhouette make it ideal for pairing with jeans, trousers, or skirts. The softly rounded square neckline offers a contemporary finish and is constructed with an integrated shelf bra for additional comfort and support, with optional foam cups for even more structure. Elastic-finished leg openings keep the fit secure, and a snap crotch closure ensures easy wear. FABRIC AND FIT

Fabric recommendations:

For the best results, choose knit fabrics with excellent recovery and a moderate amount of stretch—ideally at least 50% crosswise stretch with good snap-back. Cotton/spandex blends, rayon jerseys, modal knits, bamboo knits, and some rib knits all work beautifully. These fabrics offer enough structure to support the body-skimming silhouette while still remaining soft and comfortable for all-day wear.

If you want a more sculpted, supportive feel, look for fabrics with a firmer hand and higher stretch percentage. This combination of qualities helps maintain a sleek fit through the sleeves and torso and help the shelf bra feel secure and stable.

Lightweight jerseys will produce a softer, more relaxed silhouette, ideal for layering under sweaters and jackets.

Avoid fabrics that grow with wear, have minimal recovery, or are too lightweight to support the neckline and shelf bra. Slippery rayon jerseys can work, but make sure they have strong recovery.

Because Ione is designed to sit close to the body, choosing the right fabric is integral to achieving the polished, sculpted look the pattern is drafted for.
