Build Your Wardrobe with the Bertie Dress

Bertie is a sweet and feminine shirtdress full of special details, like a V-neckline, center front button placket, elasticized waist, and full-length sleeves gathered into tied cuffs.

Match your favorite buttons to lightweight or medium-weight woven fabrics, like shirting, chambray, flannel, lawn, voile, rayon challis, Tencel, or silk crepe.

Skye is wearing a size 4 Bertie dress with 1” added to the bodice and sleeves and 1 1/2” added to the skirt. Her measurements are 33 3/4”, 27”, 38 1/2” and she is 5’9”.

Shop for Fabric

When picking a fabric for Bertie, think about how you want the dress to fit and feel on your body. For a more floaty, breezy silhouette, pick a lightweight woven like lawn, voile, rayon challis, or silk crepe.

For a little more body, pick a medium weight woven like Tencel, shirting, chambray. To add a little warmth in colder weather, choose flannel.
