Rhoda moodboard

The Rhoda Jacket is the perfect balance of modern tailoring and relaxed ease. Its boxy, straight-cut silhouette and high, round neckline make it versatile for layering over your everyday wardrobe or adding polish to a more dressed-up outfit. Rhoda is designed to feel purposeful and effortless, giving your handmade wardrobe a timeless, wearable jacket you’ll reach for again and again.

Subtle, thoughtful details give Rhoda its character. Rounded corners at the neckline and hem add softness, while full-length, two-piece sleeves give structure and subtle shape. A slightly cropped length hits at the high hip, and the three-button center-front closure keeps the silhouette clean and approachable.

Fully lined construction ensures a polished finish inside and out, while your choice of hand-attached pockets or edgestitch patch pockets lets you add either subtlety or utility.

Fabric and Fit

Fabric recommendations:

For the oter shell, choose medium- to heavyweight fabrics that have enough body to hold the jacket’s shape and highlight its clean lines. Tweed, boiled wool, boucle, coatings, suiting fabrics, denim, twill, quilted wovens, brocades, and velvet all work beautifully, giving the jacket structure while remaining comfortable for layering.

For the lining, opt for a lightweight woven lining such as acetate, rayon, or silk. A smooth lining will ensure the jacket slips on easily, drapes well, and gives a polished finish to the interior.

Fitting tips:

When fitting Rhoda, pay close attention to the shoulders, bust, and sleeves. Minor adjustments to sleeve length or shoulder width can make a big difference in comfort and ease of movement. While the straight-cut, boxy silhouette provides flexibility through the bust and waist, it’s worth checking that there’s enough room for the layers you plan to wear underneath. Ensuring the right fit will help the jacket drape beautifully and feel as effortless as it looks.
