The BEST Way to Sew Darts

But, wait, is there only one right way to sew darts?

Posted in: Tutorials & Techniques • July 3, 2023

Most of us learn one way to sew darts, and that's how we do it forever.

But there's almost always more than one way to sew something. Often, seeing how someone else handles a technique can be eye-opening, and experimenting with other methods is a surefire way to improve your skill.

Sounds like it might be time for another SEWdown!

If you've followed along with our SEWdowns, you've already seen Sarai and Haley go head-to-head over sewing techniques. First, they dueled about how to press and fold bias tape. Then they had a friendly debate about how to cut bias tape. Then they went head-to-head hemming knits with a twin needle and a zigzag stitch. Most recently, they battled rotary cutters against fabric shears.

In today's SEWdown, Sarai and Haley’s different methods for sewing darts go head to head. Who will reign supreme?

That's up to you to decide! Vote in the comments on the YouTube video, or let us know below.
