Beginner

Beginner sewing patterns teach the most foundational sewing techniques. These patterns focus on the basics like sewing and finishing straight and curved seams, hemming, and simple shaping methods such as darts and gathers. In addition, beginner patterns omit closures, making them perfect if you are new to sewing or are looking for a quick and easy make.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced Beginner sewing patterns expand on the skills learned at the beginner level, helping you to build confidence and range as a sewer. You'll find simple knitwear projects, bias tape finishing techniques, and begin to explore closures at this skill level.

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

    Long Sleeve Bodysuit

    The Ione Bodysuit is a sleek, fitted wardrobe essential designed for comfort, support, and effortless styling. Its long sleeves and body-hugging silhouette create a smooth base layer that works beautifully paired with your favorite jeans, trousers, or skirts.

    Ione features a softly rounded square neckline that’s both modern and flattering. The neckline is cleanly finished with an integrated shelf bra, which includes an option to add foam cups for customizable support. The leg openings are finished with elastic for a secure, comfortable fit, and the crotch closes with snaps for easy wear.

    Simple yet thoughtfully designed, Ione is a polished everyday basic you’ll reach for again and again.

  • Fabric & Supplies

    Medium weight knit fabrics with 4-way stretch and at least 50% stretch, such as cotton jersey, bamboo jersey, rayon jersey, synthetic jersey blends, stretch velvet and ITY knits.

    All-purpose polyester sewing thread, ballpoint sewing machine needle, 1 1/8 yards (1 meter) of 1/4" (6 mm) elastic, 1 yard (.9 meter) 3/4" (19 mm) plush back elastic, 1/8 yard (.1 meter) fusible knit interfacing, two sets 3/8" (10 mm) set-in, and optional foam cups and ballpoint twin needle.

  • Sizing & Fit

    Ariel is wearing the Ione bodysuit in a size 8, graded to a 10 at the waist and hips. Her measurements are bust: 36 3/4" (93.4 cm), waist: 30 1/4" (76.8 cm), hip: 40 1/4" (102.2 cm), and she is 5'6" (167.6 cm) tall.

    Crosby is wearing the Ione bodysuit in a size 18 from our 12 - 30 size range. We added 3/4" to the torso length, made a broad shoulder adjustment, a broad bicep adjustment, and added 1" to the sleeve length. Her measurements are bust: 47 1/2" (120.7 cm), waist: 38 1/2" (97.8 cm), hip: 50 3/8" (128 cm), and she is 5'10" (177.8 cm) tall.

    00 – 30

    Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
