Beginner

Intermediate

Intermediate level sewing patterns focus on more precision sewing. In this skill level, you'll learn specialty closures. Intermediate patterns also introduce the skills needed for simple lingerie and athletic wear projects.

Advanced

Advanced sewing patterns require great precision and time investment. You'll find tailored pieces in this category with elevated details like bound buttonholes and welt pockets.

Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, chambray, batiste, lawn, clip dot, seersucker, poplin, quilting cottons, shirting, double gauze, rayon challis, rayon crepe, cupro, silk, and Tencel.

All-purpose polyester sewing thread, all-purpose sewing machine needle, and one yard (1 meter) lightweight fusible interfacing.

Refer to size chart for amount of fabric needed for your size.

00 – 30

Sizing & Fit

Ilisa is wearing the Pearl dress in a size 4 graded to a 6 at the hips. We lengthened the body 1 1/2", increased the sleeve length 1" and increased the bonus sleeve length 1 1/2". Her measurements are bust: 34" (86.4 cm), waist: 25 1/2" (64.8 cm), hip: 38" (96.5 cm), and she is 5'9" (175.3 cm) tall.

Alexandra is wearing the Pearl dress in a size 18. We shortened the body 1 1/2". Her measurements are bust: 45 1/2" (115.6 cm), waist: 38" (96.5 cm), hip: 48 1/2" (123.2 cm), and she is 5'5" (165 cm) tall.

00 – 30

Sizes 00-18 (Misses) are drafted for a C cup. Our size 8 fit model is 5’8”. Sizes 12-30 (Curvy) are drafted for a DD cup. Our size 20 fit model is 5’9”. Learn more about our sizing here
