Grove is a classic menswear-inspired button-up with a slightly oversized, boxy fit and relaxed proportions. Designed with a subtle dropped shoulder and a straight, easy silhouette, it brings a little borrowed-from-the-boys ease to your wardrobe while still feeling polished and considered. It's the kind of shirt that works just as well tucked into tailored trousers as it does thrown on over a favorite tee and paired with jeans.

Traditional shirtmaking details give Grove its timeless character. A two-piece collar and center front button placket create a clean, classic finish, while the chest patch pocket adds a touch of utility. A center back box pleat provides extra ease and movement, and the shirt tail hem gives the silhouette its signature shape.

The sleeves are finished with cuffs, sleeve plackets, and pleats for a polished, thoughtfully constructed look. A lined yoke is cleanly finished on the inside, making Grove as considered from the inside out as it is on the outside. These classic construction details give the shirt plenty of character while leaving room for the fabric to define its personality.

The Grove Bonus gives this classic button-up a clean, modern update with a hidden button placket. By concealing the buttons beneath the center front placket, the shirt takes on a more streamlined look while keeping the relaxed, menswear-inspired character of the original.

All of Grove's signature details remain the same, including the slightly oversized, boxy fit, dropped shoulder, two-piece collar, chest patch pocket, center back box pleat, and polished shirtmaking details throughout the sleeves. The result is a subtle variation that feels a little more minimal and contemporary.

Fabric and Fit

Grove is designed for light- to medium-weight woven fabrics with enough structure to hold its shape while still allowing for comfortable movement. Try classic shirting fabrics such as cotton poplin, oxford, chambray, linen, linen blends, or lightweight denim. For a softer, more relaxed look, consider fabrics like rayon, Tencel, or silk.

The fabric you choose can shift the character of Grove. A crisp white or blue shirting gives it a timeless, traditional feel, while stripes, checks, or playful prints can highlight the menswear-inspired details. Try a heavier fabric for a more structured overshirt, or choose a lightweight fabric for a softer shirt with a more romantic drape.

Fitting Tips

Women modeling Grove shirts

Grove is designed with a slightly oversized, boxy fit, so there is plenty of ease through the bust and body. When choosing a size, pay particular attention to your bust measurement and the amount of ease you prefer. The dropped shoulder and relaxed sleeve are designed to provide comfortable movement without requiring a close fit through the upper body. Consider the finished garment length and sleeve length based on your proportions and how you plan to wear the shirt.
