In talking to thousands of members in our community, we’ve found that Curious Novices like you have a pretty common problem, which we’ll call The Wandering Problem.
We like to think of sewing as a great big adventure. The problem is, at the start of your adventure, you might not have a map. You have the curiosity and the interest, but where do you start? Where do you go?
There are so many possibilities, that you tend to choose things randomly and never really feel that you’re making progress.
When you are stuck wandering, you might:
- Feel like you make the same silly mistakes over and over.
- Have no real method to gradually building up your skills.
- Get more discouraged with every failure.
- Feel overwhelmed by all the possibilities and unsure of your choices.

We love helping Curious Novices like you get some momentum going and feel more confident. Our goal at this stage isn’t to turn you into an expert; it’s to make you a confident beginner, so you can feel the pride that keeps you going!
